Entry # 1- ON WALKING UNDER THE LAW
Realized this past weekend that I had slipped back into a mindset of walking under the law. Mainly…feeling like I need to be doing more and living a more radical lifestyle to earn Gods approval. This naturally led me to walking in the flesh and was producing death within my spirit…as its obviously impossible to ever be good enough to earn His approval. I’m thankful that I felt His power and revelation in this area this past weekend and I turned back to grace and the blood of Jesus. Thank you Lord that you have placed no requirements upon me….except to LOVE!
ENTRY # 2- ON RED AND BLUE OCEANS
I feel that God is speaking to me about red and blue oceans at work. Their is a particular message that I continue to hear over and over again regarding business…. red oceans represent bodies of water that are full of blood. They are full of blood because their are many sharks in the water and they are all feeding on the same pool of fish. Blue oceans have very little or no sharks in them and therefore their is no blood in the water. The point is this…COMPETITION DRIVES DOWN OVERALL INCOME AND PROFIT MARGINS! The goal is to feed in blue oceans…where their is a lack of competition! I am currently in a red ocean–full of competition–and I need to be looking for blue oceans. That’s where profits are made! I need to spend time giving this some dedicated thought!
ENTRY #3 – ON THE FEAR OF MAN
I have a lunch meeting this week with someone who heads up a ministry that I have been supporting. This particular person has sold everything she and her husband owned here in the states, moved to Africa ( with their children), and started an Orphanage. They truly gave up all to follow Christ and accomplish His will on this Earth. I was told by the person that coordinated the meeting that she was nervous to meet me ( due to the fact that I was a large donor to the ministry). I obviously told her that was nonsense! But as I sat and reflected upon this the thought occurred to me that if anything….I should be nervous to meet her. I have no doubt that her rank within the Kingdom of God is much higher than mine!
ENTRY # 4- ON THE HOPE TO BE BROUGHT TO ME AT THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST
Enjoyed my time with God this morning as I reflected on 1Peter 1:13.
“….fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ!”
That word “completely” really grabbed me! My entire hope should be fixed upon this grace I will receive when Jesus is revealed. I need to spend more time reflecting and studying what that “grace” consists of. I cannot fix my hope completely on something that I don’t truly understand. The more I understand …the more I have to fully fix my hope upon!
entry #5 – ON PROCLAIMING HIS EXCELLENCIES
also spent time reflecting on 1 Peter 2:9…
“For you are a Chosen Race, a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light!”
this verse has always been powerful for me during times when I doubt if I should continue spending time writing, blogging, etc… It is one of the most clear commands to us as to our call to proclaim His excellencies!!
ENTRY # 6- ON MY LUNCH APPOINTMENT TODAY
Had a lunch appointment with one of my agents today who was a fellow brother in Christ. I experienced power and boldness from the Holy Spirit as I proclaimed to Him the truths of the gospel that had been revealed to me through the teaching of Dan Mohler recently. Felt stirred up myself within my spirit as I left that lunch. Was very refreshing. I hope and pray that he listens to the teachings I sent to him so that he can see for himself what I shared with him.
PLEASE NOTE….
Journal Entries are my way of being able to put out more of what is going on in my head and heart at a faster pace. Longer blog posts take time for me to to develop and articulate my thoughts, have someone proofread, get a photo done for them, etc…Therefore you may find grammatical/punctuation errors, and these posts won’t look as “pretty” as some of the others. Many of these thoughts are “undeveloped”. These are simply some of the things I am reflecting and thinking about during my time with God that I believe others could possibly benefit from. I don’t post every entry. Obviously some remain private to me. Hope you enjoy!
