ENTRY #1- On Simplicity and Generosity
It is one thing to live a life of simplicity. It is another thing to life a life of generosity! But it is something entirely different than both of those to life a life of simplicity COMBINED with generosity. Simplicity by itself can be easy….because the simpler I choose to live , the more money I can stockpile. Generosity by itself can be easy because I can be generous without being sacrificial. But the life God has called His people to is a life of simplicity AND generosity. This is the life that requires FAITH!
ENTRY #2- On Perspective
I find that one of the only ways to maintain a proper perspective on this life, in America especially, is to continue to read the words of our forefathers who have gone before us in the faith. Men like Jonathan Edwards, David Brainerd, Charles Spurgeon, C.S Lewis, etc….from generations past!

- Completely Forgiven
- Loved and Accepted by Him
- Im His child and Son
- Im Created in His image
- I speak with Him daily
- I lay down all rights and possessions in this life
- All of my needs are met in Him
PLEASE NOTE…Journal Entries are my way of being able to put out more of what is going on in my head and heart at a faster pace. Longer blog posts take time for me to to develop and articulate my thoughts, have someone proofread, get a photo done for them, etc…Therefore you may find grammatical errors and these posts won’t look as “pretty” as some of the others. These are simply some of the things I am reflecting and thinking about during my time with God that I believe others could benefit from. I don’t post every entry. Obviously some remain private to me.
