I am reminded this morning that this “walk” with Christ on Earth is not a boring one. It’s not a dull & boring life. It is so easy to look around and see the ways of the world around us and the pursuits of those that don’t believe and begin to think the Christian life is dull and boring. But this should not be so! This Christian life is real! It is serious! It is a matter of life and death. It is super-natural! Should I not be excited and in awe of the fact that I have the ability to enter the Presence of the King of Kings. I am able to converse with the One who spoke galaxies into existence. Shouldn’t I tremble when I hear His voice? Why am I not excited about that? Certainly He has called us to a life of excitement. Has He not called us to come into His presence to receive instruction and direction and then to go walk in faith…when all of the circumstances around us tell us that what He said doesn’t make sense–That we can’t do it– That we will fail–That we will be defeated! Was David bored and un-excited as he went out to face Goliath? I don’t think so! Certainly He has called us to live a life of excitement and wonder as we do great and mighty things for Him. I am reminded this morning of how much I love Him and that this life is my opportunity to bring Him something! This life is my opportunity to have something with me when I finally see Him on that great day! This is my opportunity to not be “empty-handed” when I finally stand before Him. God, help me to not be empty handed when I see you!
